Peiro's new haircut!

During dinner a moment ago, Peiro came back and narrate his interesting hair-cut session at the salon just down the street... Firstly, he told me that they charge him AUD$21; but he told them that his frens at the lodge told him that is was just AUD$15... And yea... the salon charged him the latter thereafter... However, I think that the highlight of th session was that he looked like that the barber had a curved bowl placed over his head and commenced cutting... He got this nice smooth curve on his hair now... hahaz... He said that they actually showed him a book which have illustrations of many different hair styles and asked him to choose one... As he is not fleunt in his English (but his french is absolutely fleunt tho' I dunno what's he's speaking when he's conversing with Johnathan in french); the barber do not understand him when he said he just wanted to cut short... and hence the book... Haz... Interesting... Looking forward to my hair cut... which is supposed to be schedule at 4PM tomorrow... But looks like I have to postphoned to next week as I my 'software process' meeting till 4PM tomorrow... Maybe I should get Peiro to take a photo now...haha... Got to bath and do some work... There will be a test at 1PM tomolo (S'pore time 11AM)... Wish me luck! =)

FIR 2nd Album...

Listening to FIR new album now... I like their 'soft-rock-styled' kind of songs... More often than not, they advocate freedom... Have you ever wondered what kind of freedom are you searching for in life? Freedom from things that are holding us back? Freedom to do things we really wanted to do? Financial freedom? Freedom from our past, be it relationships or friendships? Personally, I feel that these are questions that we must ask ourself... Once we are able to identify what we really want to be freed from, we will put in actions and work towards them... I see life in the shape of a pie... We dedicated different portions to our various priorities in lives... Some times, we will inject too much effort into one aspect and neglect other portions which may be as important as the former, if not, much more important... I admit that I am one of those that inject too much efforts into one particular aspect and realised that I am just walking in circles... But I am glad that I see it now... =). Now, I understand why I am going nowhere in certain aspect of my life which I thought I should hav made progression. I am going to focus on aspects that will enlarge the pie of my life... and not fix the size of my pie and try to allocate the meagre amount to so many aspects that I am trying to juggle...

Got an email from HF who told me that her brother has actually passed away and he was actually hospitalised on very day I left for Brisbane... Hope her family and her is coping well... S***** told me that he has already found a job... Good pay (above 3k) and sounds really interesting... =) Congrats to him!

Oh yea... we pissed her off todae (I have met the worst lady I ever met in my whole life): for those who want to find out more, pls ask me personally...

Time to change bed sheet and continue to study for the test....

Oh yea... uploaded the collages to: http://community.webshots.com/user/qihong100

Long day!!!

Just came back from Indooroopilly shopping mall after making a call back home... Dinner looks fine today (actually it is fine whenever it is not Shepherd Pie). Just drop a short entry before I get my dinner, bathed and get down to work (school work)... =)

Fencing was great yesterday; it was my first fencing after 3 weeks (1 week for hols, 1 week I was too tired and last week was due to the fact that Hong Ee and Jolene went for Avril Laringe Concert)... As the coach was late, one of the fencer who was dress in formal pants proceeded to do warm-ups and some basic footwork with us first... He looked kind of funnie when he do those actions and I was a little worried that his pants may split any moment... => We got to know Sylvia, from Hong Kong but who have been living in Australia since she was young (we knew her in the2nd lesson)... We really had a agreat time chatting after fencing and this excitement culminate to its peak as we tease Hong Ee and his Japanese crush in the lodge... Sylvia even visited our lodge to see how Hong Ee's crush look like...haha... Hong Ee and I had subway for dinner as Defoe informed us that it was SHEPHERD PIE!!! We had a great time chatting as we gobbled our dinner... Before long, Jolene and I sent Sylvia to the bus stop as she live in a town at the other side of th city... Though there will not be fencing classes for the next 2 mondays (Anzac Day & Labour Day), we should be meeting up for coffee one of these days...

Breakfast was great today(I woke up late and microwaved and ate it in school after a confusing Operating System lecture)!!! Thank to the 3 Ngee Ann Polytechnic girls who reserve a portion of the chicken rice they cooked at their new place at Taringa (MyHong Kong room mate brought it back for me lsat night as he was hanging out with them yesterday)... Thanks!!! Spent some time reading up on C programming in the lab b4 heading for lunch... Lunch was sandwiches that I had prepared and I met a Chen Ling (from Zhe Jiang, China), a master IT student in UQ... I enquired about her age as she looked very young to be a master student... She said she's 25 this year... Woah... that really young for someone doing a masters... As there was no seat in the building, we headed off to the lake garden to finished up our lunch... It is interesting to learnt about new stuff about China... She warned me never to eat food from Chinatown in China... As she worked in the restaurants there b4; she said that the way the utensils were washed was very inhygienic... Yea... point taken... I will definitely remember this point... =)

I got to have dinner, doing some packing up and proceed to do some planning for my personal matters and then proceed to study... Though all my modules are on S/U, the 2 operating principle modules are not to be trifled with... Is TOUGH... Enough talk, and more actions... Ciaos...

(Btw, sky is getting darker earlier as winter draws near... It is like 8 pm in Singapore when it is actually 6pm here... )

Waiting...

Yea, I am now in the computer lab waiting for fencing to commence at 6pm... Supposed to meet Sylvia (one of my fencing partner studying in QUT for coffee) but she hasn't sms me yet... Past 2 days was spent on coding the lab for the "Operating Systems & Network Principles" module... I officially gave up last night after spending a tremendous amount of time on it... Will not pass for this lab but should be able to get marks for it at least... First lab was pretty good coz YM assisted me in defusing the bomb... However, this lab is a big-scale one and many did not manage to complete it also... Hazz..nvm... as Hong Ee says: We are on student exchange!!! =) Will spend the time to study for Friday's OS & Network test soon... =)

Oh yah, I (with John[from France], Jolene and her 2 friends from SMU) did went to watch the fireworks display on Saturday night outside Conrad Treasury Casino... It was celebrating it 10th anniversary!!! I must say that the fireworks were really awesome....=) Took a few pictures of it too... Met up with Dennis outside the casino and it was so coincident that we bump into Defoe and the 3 girls who are on internship in UQ for 7 weeks (They just shifted out to Taringa on Saturday)... We headed off to the Pancake house thereafter before heading back to the lodge... =0)

I have finished reading "The 5 people you will meet in Heaven"... It is definitely a good read but I prefer his first book "Tuesdays with Morrie"... But I guess each book have its own unique life lessons that Mitch Albom is conveying in them... Be sure to read them to glean a better understanding of lives... There are certain things that we know in theory... It is only by reading them that reinforce these ideas into our consciousness... =) I am waiting for something else in my live too; something that has not entered my live for a long time... Bless me...=)

The next lab for OS & Network is out... Arghzzz.... Nvm... I think I will do a little everyday... But it look as daunting as the first one too... Time to do some studying! =)
