Escapade to Australia!!!

Tuesday, April 19

Long day!!!

Just came back from Indooroopilly shopping mall after making a call back home... Dinner looks fine today (actually it is fine whenever it is not Shepherd Pie). Just drop a short entry before I get my dinner, bathed and get down to work (school work)... =)

Fencing was great yesterday; it was my first fencing after 3 weeks (1 week for hols, 1 week I was too tired and last week was due to the fact that Hong Ee and Jolene went for Avril Laringe Concert)... As the coach was late, one of the fencer who was dress in formal pants proceeded to do warm-ups and some basic footwork with us first... He looked kind of funnie when he do those actions and I was a little worried that his pants may split any moment... => We got to know Sylvia, from Hong Kong but who have been living in Australia since she was young (we knew her in the2nd lesson)... We really had a agreat time chatting after fencing and this excitement culminate to its peak as we tease Hong Ee and his Japanese crush in the lodge... Sylvia even visited our lodge to see how Hong Ee's crush look like...haha... Hong Ee and I had subway for dinner as Defoe informed us that it was SHEPHERD PIE!!! We had a great time chatting as we gobbled our dinner... Before long, Jolene and I sent Sylvia to the bus stop as she live in a town at the other side of th city... Though there will not be fencing classes for the next 2 mondays (Anzac Day & Labour Day), we should be meeting up for coffee one of these days...

Breakfast was great today(I woke up late and microwaved and ate it in school after a confusing Operating System lecture)!!! Thank to the 3 Ngee Ann Polytechnic girls who reserve a portion of the chicken rice they cooked at their new place at Taringa (MyHong Kong room mate brought it back for me lsat night as he was hanging out with them yesterday)... Thanks!!! Spent some time reading up on C programming in the lab b4 heading for lunch... Lunch was sandwiches that I had prepared and I met a Chen Ling (from Zhe Jiang, China), a master IT student in UQ... I enquired about her age as she looked very young to be a master student... She said she's 25 this year... Woah... that really young for someone doing a masters... As there was no seat in the building, we headed off to the lake garden to finished up our lunch... It is interesting to learnt about new stuff about China... She warned me never to eat food from Chinatown in China... As she worked in the restaurants there b4; she said that the way the utensils were washed was very inhygienic... Yea... point taken... I will definitely remember this point... =)

I got to have dinner, doing some packing up and proceed to do some planning for my personal matters and then proceed to study... Though all my modules are on S/U, the 2 operating principle modules are not to be trifled with... Is TOUGH... Enough talk, and more actions... Ciaos...

(Btw, sky is getting darker earlier as winter draws near... It is like 8 pm in Singapore when it is actually 6pm here... )
