Escapade to Australia!!!

Thoughts...

When one is away from home, many things will start to become clearer... Goals, family, friends relationship, money etc... Not everyone will be able to excel in each of these... One need to strike a balance... By finding one's niche area will make one happy and feel 'rich'. I am sure everyone wants to find this equilibrium point... Have you thought about it? Or already in the process? It is never too late to start... =)

No ones knows the real reason behind why I choose to go SoC. But since I have made the choice, I must not regret... =) Well, I really did not regret! (apart from the much dreaded programming; I simply cannot think like a computer), I have made a lot of great friends from SoC and SCC; met really motivated people; being given the opportunity to go for Student Exchange Program; Managed to stay on in USP [which really hone my writing skills]; a decent honours... yes... I am blessed! I am now looking other areas that I can improve in my live...=)

A few friends know what I really want coz I seldom talk about them... I find no point in talking about them before I achieve them... More actions, less talk is always good...=)... Have a good bath... and I wanna finish up the lab to wherever I can and hand it in... (that is definitely not my strength, hahaz)... There will be fireworks in Brisbane city tonight; still wondering if I should go and watch...

Avril Laringe in Brisbane...

Hong Ee called me while I was in my room; all I heard was Avril Laringe (I dun even know if I spelt correctly, haha) screaming her head off att he other side of the phone... The atmosphere in Brisbane Entertainment Centre sound pretty high... hahaz... There is one key reason why I did not go for the concert: Coz I did not even attend SHE concert in S'pore and how could I attend Avril Laringe concert!!! It is a form of betrayal if I do that... I may consider if SHE is making special guest appearance...

Dinner was good today: rice with generous portion of chicken cooked with brocollis... =0) Shan't praise too much coz the sherperd pie which I much dreaded is well on its way to the dinner table any time this week... Regina (my sergent's wife) called me when I was dozing off after reading 'The 4 people you will met in heaven'; my task: to help her to change her light bulb... (she's too short to reach it even after stacking up her textbooks) She told me that her roommate's bf says he's too busy surfing the net and rejected to help her when he is in the apartment already!!! What a guy! Yea, I walked over to the other street to meet up with her and promptly help her change the bulb... Her hubby called at the point I am changing... Regina says he will treat me when I go back in Singapore... Hazz.. A treat for changing a light bulb!!! =)

Finally make sense of all the conversion for kb, btyes, MBs after Nicholas cleared my doubts for me... He's gonna be one great computer scientist in DSTA in future... I will not be surprised if he really arrive at some great algorithm that will change the world... Oh yea.. he will have the opportunity to meet Steve Job, Apple's CEO in USA soon... Jiayou!!!

EggsSs!!!

My room mate, Defoe had just broken his personal record of eating 7 eggs (out of 10) for dinner... I took out the egg box just now and announced officially ot him that if he do not consume by tomorrow; the eggs will be expired... ahhaz.... Bless him to have a good stomach till the next morning... =)

I was reading up for my Australian Marine Environment test scheduled on next wednesday when I recalled an interesting encounter with a 'hip-hop'-style American student from Columbia University... There was a page in our reading package titled 'Rocky Shore Habitats' and its contents were as follow:

Surface
Pools
Crevices
Under rocks
Bores

More often than not, people will attempt to memorise this by remembering the first letter of each word... So in this case... it will be S P C U B... But he told me cheekily that it could be easily rememebered by rearranging the alphabets to: B CUPS...... best....

Got to work on the test files and send an email to the professor... The second lab is really tedious and being someone who is trying to brainwash myself into believing that I like programming; it did not help very much in the progress of the lab which will be due on Friday... Luckily, I've met Mike and Yeow Ming(my camp sergent, =)) from S'pore who are very helpful... Without them, I would not have completed my bombs on time as I was away in South Australia (Adelaide) and Victoria (Melbourne) for 9 days during the Easter break... Once again, I would like to say a big thank you to both of you... And yea, we are helping one another out for the second lab too.... Gonna do CS 3214 when I return to NUS; hopefully it will be my last brush with hard core programming for my whole life... =)

A note for myself: yea, I want it badly enuff...=)
